Throughout her career, Attorney Leonard served as an educational advocate and represented both students and teachers in civil rights matters. This includes litigation of disability discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination actions involving students, teachers and the public school system.

As Past President of the First District Eastern Middlesex Bar Association, she founded the annual fundraising golf tournament, which provides scholarships to local high school students.
Her extensive work with students and teachers led Attorney Leonard to open High Expectations. She recognizes the social, economic and academic obstacles faced by parents, students and the public school system. In partnership with local schools, businesses and the community, the mission of High Expectations is to ensure that students achieve their true academic potential, understand the importance of higher education and have equal access to education.
High Expectations helps students discover their interests, identify their strengths and weaknesses and use that information to create a competitive college profile. Our programs focus students on the path to college beginning in middle school with after school and summer enrichment classes and career exploration. Academic counseling, standardized test preparation, extracurricular activities planning and internship programs are available to high school students. We also assist students with the college application process.
Attorney Leonard has dedicated her career to social justice and she continues in that calling through the mission of High Expectations. Preparing our children for the future is a vital, challenging and gratifying undertaking that requires strategic planning involving every available resource in the community.
